Pitch correction question With Audacity Recording Software…
Should I Add Pitch Correction On Recorded Voice Before Or After Adding Reverb Effects? Why?
Abbie’s Reply…
For starters, there are two ways to add effects… One is to add the effect to the finished track in a permanent manner, the other is to add the effect passively, or non-destructively. Meaning you leave the original track as is. I am not familiar with Audacity, I use several other DAW software packages. I never directly add the effects. I always leave my options open. You may use the song for a different project at a later time. Never commit your effects.
That being said… I always pitch correct, no matter how good the singing. If you must permanently add reverb to the track, pitch correct first.
I couldn’t resist commenting. Very well written!
