Hayden Christensen, known for having one of the most iconic roles in film history (Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars II and III), is set to play one of the most inspiring Christians of the 21st century — at least, if you go by book sales. Although Christensen’s latest role will not include any wielding of the Force or light-sabers, it will, however, tell one of the most miraculous (and overtly Christian) true stories in recent times: the jaw-dropping account of Don Piper’s car crash, his “90 Minutes in Heaven” experience, and his harrowing recovery from the crash.

But he won’t be alone. The powerhouse actor Kate Bosworth (“Superman Returns,” “Still Alive,” “Blue Crush”) will be at his side in what might be the most star-studded adaptation of a contemporary Christian book yet to hit the big screen.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little while to see it — it comes out sometime in the fall of 2015. When a semi-tractor truck crushed his car, Don Piper was declared dead by the first rescue workers to arrive on the scene.
