Duck Dynasty’s Missy Robertson Talks about Her New Clothing Line!

Josh Bechler Writer for Rocking God's HouseI know to some people it might be a little odd for a man to be writing about a women’s fashionable clothing line; but hey what can I say, I love the whole Duck Commander crew, and I will usually jump at every chance I get to talk with any of them about their upcoming ventures and projects. Missy Robertson’s clothing line is no exception!

Missy Robertson, wife of Jase Robertson on A&E’s Duck Dynasty is set to debut her own clothing line in collaboration with Stephanie Carter’s Southern Fashion House. The collection will simply be titled “Missy Robertson by Southern Fashion House.” As the wife of Jase Robertson and part of the phenomenon that is Duck Dynasty, Missy Robertson’s schedule will continue to grow with numerous public appearances; and now she has a fashion line to showcase as well. She is coining it as a stylish yet comfortable and “age-appropriate” clothing line. The collection will debut January 2014 in Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas. The collection will also be available in department stores and select botiques across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. For more information you can visit www.southernfashionhouse.com.

Missy RobertsonRocking God’s House: Missy, why start a clothing line now?

Missy: I felt there was a void in the market for active, busy working moms who want to look put together without having to put a lot of effort into it while staying modest and age-appropriate. These styles are reflective of the fun new fashions that can always be found in the junior section of department stores. However, the silhouettes in the collection are intended to flatter women of all ages, shapes, and sizes.

Rocking God’s House: Who will be a target customer for the Missy Robertson collection?

Missy: At first I thought it would be a woman like myself: a busy, working mom who is always on the go. However, my 19-year-old cousin loves every piece that I’ve worn so far and asks to borrow them. My 84-year-old grandmother has also picked out a few pieces for herself. It seems to appeal to all ages, and that thrills me.

Rocking God’s House: So is it everything you had hoped for?

Missy: I have always wanted to do a line with longer hemlines but simply needed the inspiration to do so. When I met Stephanie Carter of Southern Fashion House, she inspired me to put the collection together, alongside using her design and retail background, and so our collaboration began.
