The Voice Finale…
Rocking God’s House recently offered a 45-day poll asking “Which Coach Will Win Season 6 of ‘The Voice?'” Immediately Shakira fell to the bottom of the pack and will not be represented in the final. Team Blake quickly secured the lead and maintained its place as the reader’s favorite. As the poll ended today, Team Blake dominated with 43 percent. In second place is Team Usher at 31 percent; Team Adam is at the at the bottom with only 12 percent.
Representing Team Blake is country singer Jake Worthington. Jake has one of the most lovable personalities. However, I don’t think he has the voice to take the competition. His personality, style, and presence will allow him to go way beyond this competition; Jake will be a long term player in the country industry for many years to come.
Team Usher stole the golden vocalist Josh Kaufman during the competition round. Josh has excellent tone, range, and style. I think he holds the edge and should win the competition.
Team Adam may be at the bottom of our poll, but Christina Grimme is a force to be reckoned. She has an excellent, original voice. I just don’t think she has enough star power to beat Josh.
American Idol Finals…
Jene Irene versus Caleb Johnson — this is a clash of the titans.
These are two phenomenal vocalists; they are both so great and so different.
During his most recent performance, a doctor revealed Caleb had little voice left due to bronchitis. Caleb suffered from a small vocal cord hemorrhage. Will this offer him the underdog edge, or will his voice problems negatively affect his performance? Caleb Johnson has great stage presence, great understanding of arrangement and dynamics, coupled with a powerful voice!
Jene Irene is the entire package. With an angelic voice, she has a great understanding of who she is, and she understands the intricacies of her voice. This one is almost too close to call. I think the publicity Caleb generated by overcoming his recent voice problems will offer him enough edge to take the title!
